Hyderabad Police monitor Ganesh idol immersion from Command and Control Centre

Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar reviewed Ganesh idol immersion and security arrangements from the Telangana Command and Control Centre. Nearly 10,300 of 14,850 registered idols had been immersed, while CCTV cameras, drones and cranes monitored and supported the process.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar, who reviewed security arrangements and the Ganesh idol immersion procession from the Telangana Command and Control Centre in Banjara Hills, said the immersion process was proceeding peacefully across the city and was expected to be completed by Saturday morning.

Nearly 10,300 of the 14,850 registered Ganesh idols had already been immersed, with arrangements in place to complete the remaining 4,500.

Around 10,000 CCTV cameras, drones and surveillance vehicles are providing live feeds to the command centre. More than 30 heavy cranes, additional cranes and baby ponds have been deployed around Hussain Sagar to speed up the immersion process.

Traffic diversions along Telangana Thalli flyover, Tank Bund, NTR Marg and PVNR Marg are being monitored by senior police officers.
