Hyderabad: Police raid illegal hookah parlour in Vattepally, detain 10 persons
Mailardevpally police raided an illegal hookah parlour in Vattepally and detained 10 persons on Sunday night. The outlet was reportedly operating without permissions in a residential area. Hookah equipment and flavoured tobacco were seized during the operation.
Hyderabad: The Mailardevpally police raided an illegal hookah parlour in Vatepally and detained 10 persons and seiziledequipment used for hookah operations on Sunday night.
The raid was carried out around following a tip-off with the police teams finding that the outlet was functioning without necessary permissions in a residential locality.
The operator, Mohd Tanweer (23), was taken into custody.
Police said hookah pots, flavored tobacco, coal boxes, pipes and a mobile phone were seized from the spot.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is on.
Police warned that strict action will be taken against illegal hookah centres and said such enforcement drives will continue.
