Hyderabad: Police recover Raj Kumar’s selfie video shot before Shabad six-murders
Police have recovered a selfie video allegedly recorded by Raj Kumar a day before the six murders. Investigators are verifying the recording, which may provide key insights into his state of mind before the killings and his subsequent death.
Hyderabad: A selfie video allegedly recorded by Raj Kumar a day before the killings has been recovered from his mobile phone, police sources said on Monday.
According to the sources, the device was found near Raj Kumar’s body in Penjarla village, located in Kothur mandal of Ranga Reddy district. Preliminary examination indicates that the video was recorded on July 10, one day before the six murders.
In the video, Raj Kumar is reportedly heard claiming that he had been cheated in every possible way after trusting the minor girl who had filed a POCSO case against him. He also allegedly stated that he had fallen into debt and had become fed up with life. Police are verifying the authenticity of the recording as part of the investigation.
Future City Commissioner of Police Tarun Joshi visited the spot and inspected the scene before briefing the media about the developments.
The recovery of the video is expected to provide police with crucial insights into Raj Kumar’s state of mind before the murders and his subsequent death.
