Hyderabad police seize 37 vehicles in cordon and search pperation
Hyderabad police conducted a midnight cordon-and-search operation in Rein Bazaar, seizing 37 two-wheelers, knives and marijuana. Six rowdy sheeters were taken in for questioning. Police said such operations will continue to curb crime and improve public safety.

Hyderabad: In a major crackdown to curb unlawful activities, the Hyderabad police conducted a large-scale cordon and search operation at various locations under Rein Bazaar police station limits on Wednesday midnight. The operation was led by Kiran Khare Prabhakar, DCP Charminar Zone.
During the intensive search drive, police seized 37 two-wheelers that were found plying without number plates or with tampered and improper registration plates, raising suspicion over their use.
Officials also verified the activities of six rowdy sheeters – Syed Ali, Habeeb Sikander, Talib Khan, Jaffar Ali, Ali Hussain and Syeeduddin, who were identified and taken into custody for questioning as part of routine checks.
In addition, nine individuals listed under suspect sheets were traced and their present activities were thoroughly verified.
Police further seized three dangerous knives, five packets of marijuana, one hookah set, and three small gas cylinders that were allegedly being stored or used illegally.
Senior officers said a cordon and search operation will be conducted regularly to deter criminals and enhance the sense of security in residents.
