Hyderabad: Police raided a shop and seized a large quantity of banned e-cigarettes, vapes and related products on Monday night.
During the search, police seized various brands of e-cigarettes and vapes, pods, cartridges and nicotine pouches from shop employee Aboobackar Siddeeque M, 26.
Police also seized 17 e-cigarettes and related raw materials, along with Rs 72,500 in cash. Two mobile phones and Paytm QR/UPI transaction details were also seized.
According to police, the suspects were accepting orders through WhatsApp, with payments received through QR codes. The vapes were reportedly delivered to customers through courier and delivery platforms such as Rapido and Porter. Police also found transaction details and WhatsApp chats relating to the sale of vapes on one of the seized mobile phones.
