Hyderabad police seize Rs 4 lakh cash, liquor bottles in Punjagutta during Jubilee Hills by-poll checks

During by-poll vehicle checks at Punjagutta, Hyderabad Police caught a man carrying Rs 4 lakh unaccounted cash and nine liquor bottles. The man, a real estate employee, failed to show valid documents. The cash was handed to Income Tax officials

Hyderabad: During the Jubilee Hills by-poll-related vehicle checking, the Hyderabad Police caught one person and seized Rs 4 lakh unaccounted cash and nine liquor bottles at Punjagutta on Wednesday.

The man, who is reportedly working for a real estate firm in the city, was carrying the cash and liquor bottles in a car.


On enquiring about the source of the cash, he failed to produce relevant documents pertaining to the amount.

Police said the cash will be handed over to I-T officials for further action.
