Hyderabad police seize vehicles, raid illegal units in Hassannagar surprise check
A massive surprise check at Hassannagar under Attapur police limits led to raids on belt shops, a gas refilling centre, and gutkha units. Hyderabad police also seized 55 two-wheelers and six autorickshaws during the 300-personnel operation.

Hyderabad: A surprise check was conducted at the Hassannagar under Attapur police station area in the early hours of Saturday.
According to Ch Srinivas, DCP, Rajendranagar, said the checking was conducted following complaints of belt shops and movement of suspicious persons in the locality. Twelve search parties and five cordon teams participated in the operation comprising a total of 300 police personnel.
“Two belts shops, an illegal gas refilling centre and two gutkha manufacturing units were raided and property seized. The teams also seized 55 two wheelers, and six auto rickshaws were detained for violations of motor vehicle rules and after owners failed to produce documents in support of the vehicle,” said Ch. Srinivas.
He said cases are being registered against the owners who had tampered with the registration number plate of the vehicles.
