Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Police has issued a strong warning against the circulation of misleading videos on social media claiming special concessions on traffic fines during the upcoming Lok Adalat scheduled for March 14.

City Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar clarified that no official announcement has been made regarding any waiver or reduction of pending traffic challans in connection with the Lok Adalat.

Taking to social media, he stated that the viral videos making such claims are completely false and are being spread purely to attract views and followers online.

The commissioner further urged citizens not to believe or forward unverified content and advised the public to rely only on official communications issued through authorised police channels.

Sajjanar warned that strict legal action will be taken against those creating and sharing false information for social media popularity.
