Hyderabad: Hyderabad Polo and Riding Club defeated Telangana Polo Club 14-9 in the MSN Realty Arena Polo Championship at HPRC here on Monday.
HPRC opened strongly with Chaitania Kumar leading an aggressive attack, scoring three early goals and pushing his team to a 4-2 lead in the opening chukker. In the second chukker, both teams demonstrated solid tactical discipline with Nithin Reddy and Arsalan Khan adding goals for HPRC, while Arun Jupally matched the tally for Telangana to keep the contest competitive.
The third chukker witnessed a turning point as Saif Attari delivered three consecutive goals for HPRC, supported by brilliant midfield riding from the Hyderabad lineup. Telangana responded through Kaushik Kumar and Arun Jupally, but the momentum stayed with the home team.
In a decisive final chukker, Hyderabad displayed championship-level determination. Arsalan Khan closed out the match with a powerful scoring burst, contributing to HPRC’s five-goal final period and securing the tournament victory.
