Hyderabad: Pregnant woman dies, husband injured in freak accident at Attapur
A 35-year-old woman was traveling from Mehdipatnam towards Rajendranagar on her husband's motorcycle, when the mishap occurred.
Hyderabad: In a tragic accident, a pregnant woman died and her husband was injured after a TGSRTC bus mowed them down at Attapur in Rajendranagar on Thursday.
The woman, identified as Syed Asra (35), was traveling from Mehdipatnam towards Rajendranagar on her husband Mohammed’s motorcycle, when the mishap occurred.
As per available information, the couple had reached the service road in Attapur, when the driver of a car which was halted, allegedly suddenly opened the door without observing the surroundings.
The couple fell off the bike on the road after being hit by the car door and came under the wheels of the RTC bus which was coming behind.
While Asra suffered grievous bleeding injuries and died on the spot, her husband was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The Attapur police are investigating.
