Hyderabad: The inaugural edition of the Prime Volleyball League kicked off to a colourful start with Sports Minister V Srinivas Goud inaugurating the league at the Gachibowli Indoor stadium on Saturday.
Indian ace shuttler and two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu, Sports Authority of Telangana State Chairman A Venkateshwar Reddy, Chief Secretary of IT and Industrial Department Jayesh Ranjan, National Archery Federation President Paparao, Arjuna and Dronacharya awardee Shyam Sundar Rao, Hyderabad Black Hawks team owners Abhisheek Reddy, Deepak, Shyam Sunder Reddy were all present at the event.
In the inaugural match, hosts Hyderabad took on Kochi Blue Spikers. Seven teams from Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Kochi, Calicut and Bengaluru are participating in the League.
