Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Task Force nabbed a man on charges of illegally selling Remdesivir injections in Punjagutta on Saturday. Police seized six Remdesivir injection vials from them. The arrested person was M Santosh (35), a private employee from Madinaguda.
According to the police, Santosh, who was aware of the huge demand for the Remdesivir injections used for treatment of Covid-19 patients, plotted to sell them illegally and make quick money. As per his plan, Santosh procured Remdesivir injections from known persons for Rs 3,400 and sold them to customers at Rs 30,000. Following a tip off, the police nabbed him at Punjagutta and seized six Remdesivir injection vials. Santosh, along with the seized injections, was handed over to the Punjagutta police for further investigation.
