Hyderabad: Prostitution racket busted at upscale hotel

Police raided an upscale hotel at Raj Bhavan road in Somajiguda and found the organizers were carrying on the illegal activity from two rooms and lured the customers by posting advertisements on social media platforms.

Hyderabad: The Punjagutta police busted an interstate prostitution racket following a raid at a hotel at Somajiguda on Friday night. The police caught two persons who were allegedly organizing the illegal activity. Five women were also rescued from the place.

Acting on a tip off, the local police raided an upscale hotel at Raj Bhavan road in Somajiguda and found the organizers were carrying on the illegal activity from two rooms and lured the customers by posting advertisements on social media platforms. The women who were rescued are from different States and were brought to the city by the organizers after arranging their stay and travel.

The organizers were detained at the police station for questioning while the women who were rescued were shifted to a rescue home. A case is registered by the police and an investigation is going on.
