PSFA is expected to touch more than 24,000 beneficiaries, through 48,000 calls
Hyderabad: To provide the much-needed mental health support in the ongoing pandemic, Heartfulness group of organisations and Ripples of Charge Foundation (ROCF) launched Voice that Cares – Psychosocial First Aid (PSFA) helpline. This initiative, run on the helpline number 8448844845, will be open from 9 am to 9 pm, seven days a week and is offered in Hindi and English.
A public helpline that is aimed at supporting people through counselling on a wide range of mental health matters including anxiety, suicidal tendencies, depressive disorders, substance abuse among other mental health concerns, PSFA is expected to touch more than 24,000 beneficiaries, through 48,000 calls.
It was launched by industry experts Dr. Thiruppugazh, additional secretary, National Disaster Management Authority, Dr. Sekar Kasi, Professor of Disaster Management at NIMHANS along with Kamlesh D Patel, the global guide of Heartfulness.
