Rains affected the business of the weekly vegetable markets and other roadside vendors
Hyderabad: The four hour morning relaxation passed off smoothly on the seventh day of the lockdown on Tuesday.
With showers in parts of the city, the plans of several people to visit the vegetable markets were dampened in the initial relaxation hours.
At several places in the city, the rain also affected the business of the weekly vegetable markets and other roadside vendors till 8.30 am.
With rain subsiding, several people lined up at the supermarkets and vegetable markets to buy their essentials.
As wearing a face mask and maintaining physical distancing is mandatory, people were seen following the norms.
At some supermarkets, the managements made announcements urging their customers to quickly complete their purchase and allow other customers.
Not just vegetable markets, business at tiffin centres too was affected due to rains. Even the sales were slower today at mutton, chicken, and fish shops. The liquor outlets also did not register much of a rush.
The police continued to check the vehicular movement and requested people to follow lockdown guidelines and not venture out unnecessarily.
