Hyderabad rains: Eight members feared washed away, two bodies recovered

According to the relatives, the family was staying at their house in Bandlaguda when around 2 a.m following a breach in Palle Cheruvu tank the water entered into several colonies.

Hyderabad: Eight members of a family are feared dead after being washed away in rains at Bandlaguda in the city on Tuesday night.

According to the relatives, the family was staying at their house in Bandlaguda when around 2 a.m following a breach in Palle Cheruvu tank the water entered into several colonies. The family reportedly did not get time to save themselves and was washed away in the swirling water. The police and fire service personnel traced two bodies.


On the other hand at least two persons were washed away in the waters at Falaknuma RoB around 11 a.m. Both had come out of the house on some work and got washed away.
