Hyderabad Rains: GHMC commissioner inspects Moosarambagh bridge, urges vigilance amid rising Musi River levels

Hyderabad: Amid forecasts of heavy rainfall, GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan on Wednesday visited Moosarambagh bridge as Musi River water levels have been rising.
The Commissioner instructed officials to ensure continuous monitoring and swift response mechanisms to protect nearby communities and infrastructure. He also advised residents along the Musi to stay informed through official alerts and avoid flood-prone areas during heavy rains.
He also inspected ongoing works on Moosarambagh bridge and advised adherence to safety standards. “A seamless collaboration among engineering, town planning, and disaster management teams to ensure timely and safe project execution,” he said.
Karnan urged all departments to remain alert and responsive and said, “Our priority is to protect residents and deliver critical infrastructure projects without delay, even in challenging weather conditions.”
