Hyderabad ranks among world’s fastest-growing data centre markets
Hyderabad has been ranked among the world's fastest-growing data centre markets in the Knight Frank Global Data Centre Atlas 2026. The city ranks 27th globally in operational capacity and 19th in development pipeline, with capacity expected to nearly double by 2027.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad has emerged as one of the world’s fastest-growing data centre markets, ranking 27th globally in live operational capacity and 19th globally by future development pipeline, according to the Knight Frank Global Data Centre Atlas 2026.
Meanwhile, Mumbai ranked 15th globally by operational data centre capacity and 11th globally by development pipeline.
The report compared 36 leading global data centre markets across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.
Hyderabad, while operating from a smaller installed base of 151 MW, is backed by a development pipeline exceeding 2.2 GW, highlighting strong investor confidence and significant long-term growth potential.
Hyderabad’s live data centre capacity is projected to rise from around 188 MW at the end of 2025 to approximately 380 MW by 2027, supported by a substantial development pipeline, the report said.
Data centre development is focused on new technology parks that are coming up on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
