Hyderabad realtor arrested for posing as politician, attempting extortion
Realtor from Yakutpura was arrested by the Task Force and Rein Bazar police for impersonating a politician and trying to extort Rs 2 lakh from a person building a house. He allegedly threatened to use influence to demolish the construction
Hyderabad: The Task Force (South) team, along with Rein Bazar police, arrested Syed Aleem, a realtor from Yakutpura, for allegedly posing as a political leader and attempting to extort Rs 2 lakh from a person constructing a building.
According to police, Aleem approached the complainant, claiming to be a local politician with close connections to influential leaders and government officials.

He then allegedly threatened the complainant and demanded Rs 2 lakh, warning that he would use his “influence” to have the under-construction building demolished.
Following a complaint, police apprehended Aleem and booked him under relevant charges.
