Hyderabad: A realtor lodged a complaint with the Jubilee Hills police alleging he was cheated by his friends of Rs 2 crore promising high returns for investments in real estate.
The complainant, B Sai Chander, a realtor from Ram Koti, runs a real estate business office in Jubilee Hills Road No.36. The suspects, Narender Reddy from Mahabubnagar and Sanjeev Kumar from Moinabad were his friends since the last eight years. According to the police, about two years ago, the suspects told Sai Chander that investing in land in Maheshwaram and Ibrahimpatnam would get him huge profits. Believing them, Sai Chander invested Rs 2 crore.
“Even after years, there has been no profit and they also refused to return his money. Apart from this, they also threatened Sai Chander,” police said, adding that Sai Chander had approached a local court, which directed the Jubilee Hills police to book a case and take up investigation.
