Hyderabad: Realtor held within hours for wife’s murder in Maruthi Nagar
A realtor was arrested by Malkajgiri police for allegedly shooting his wife dead at Maruthi Nagar following marital disputes. Police recovered weapons and arrested another suspect, while one more accused remains absconding. Investigation is ongoing into the murder case.
Hyderabad: The Malkajgiri police on Thursday arrested realtor D Arun Kumar (48) within hours of allegedly shooting his wife, D Nisharani (35), to death at their Maruthi Nagar residence.
Officials seized a country-made pistol, live ammunition and other weapons.
According to police, Arun Kumar allegedly shot Nisharani at around 4.30 am on Wednesday following ongoing marital disputes. With the help of technical evidence and other leads, police nabbed him near Moula Ali Railway Station on Thursday.
Police also arrested Mir Muzammil Ali Khan (23), a degree student from Yakutpura, in connection with the case, while another suspect, Harinder Singh alias Harbhajan Singh, is absconding.
Further investigation is on.
