Hyderabad: Hyderabad recorded a 19-run win over Vidarbha in an Under-25 men’s plate league match at Rajkot on Tuesday. Electing to bat, Hyderabad posted 290/8 in 50 overs and Vidarbha, in reply, were bowled out for 276 in 49.3 overs. It was Hyderabad’s second win from three matches.

Hyderabad openers M Rakesh Reddy and last match centurion Abhirath Reddy shared 87 runs for the opening wicket. Abhirath looked in good form and raced off to his half-century before he was out for a 53-ball 53 (11×4). Rakesh made 44 while Nitesh Reddy was out for 43. But skipper Prateek Reddy came up with a 61-ball 58 (3×4, 1×6) while A Anikethreddy boosted Hyderabad’s total 13-ball 23.


Vidarbha lost wickets at regular intervals despite skipper MR Kale’s 94 (97b, 8×4) before being all out in 49.2 overs. Medium pacer Kartikeya Kak returned with three wickets. Off spinner Abhirath Reddy and Hitesh Yadav bagged two wickets apiece.

Hyderabad 295/8 in 50 overs (M Rakesh Yadav 44, Abirath Reddy 53, K Nitesh Reddy 43, Prateek Reddy 58; Yash Kadam 3/63) bt Vidarbha276 in 49.2 overs (AD Choudhari 33, A Mokhade 55, MR Kale 94, Bhute 33; Kartikeya Kak 3/18, C Hitesh Yadav 2/47, Abhirath Reddy 2/47).
