Hyderabad: The Madhapur police have registered two separate cases following a dispute over Lucky Multicuisine Restaurant located near Pillar No.1723, involving alleged property damage and obstruction of police personnel.

According to police, on October 2, the restaurant operator Mohammed Mansoor Ali was alerted by an employee that some persons were allegedly damaging the premises. Mansoor and his wife Rehana Begum rushed to the spot and allegedly found two persons Hari, Ravi and others using an excavator. A pan shop, tea point and bakery were reportedly damaged.

Police said Rehana was allegedly assaulted when the couple tried to intervene, while Mansoor’s mobile phone was allegedly targeted when he attempted to record the incident.

Based on a complaint, a case was registered against the building owners and others based on his complaint.

The dispute arose from alleged non-payment of rent by Mansoor, who had leased the premises around six years ago.

Police also registered a separate case against Mansoor and others after patrol personnel allegedly found them sitting on the road near a petrol pump around midnight on the same day. They were accused of obstructing traffic and preventing police personnel from performing their duties.

Meanwhile, police said the restaurant’s FSSAI licence was suspended on September 26 following an inspection that reportedly found food-safety and hygiene deficiencies.

Further investigation is underway.
