Hyderabad: With an aim to help purify the air around us and fight air-borne viruses and diseases including Covid-19, a retired defence scientist has developed a Nano technology enabled oxygen steriliser and respirator.

Called PurePrana, the device is claimed to be a first-of-its-kind and has the capability to fight any kind of viruses including Covid-19, help in tackling air-borne diseases and can also help keeping a check on health issues such as asthma and other related ailments.

KH Sastry, a retired defence scientist, has done extensive research on biological war weaponry system since the 1980s. He had conducted different scientific evaluation and after many modifications has been able to conceptualise the device that can not only make the air we breathe pure but also fight a host of air-borne diseases. The device has been evaluated by the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) and has stated that the device is effecting in combating 98 per cent of the virus in 45 minutes of its usage.

“The device uses Nano technology and the Ionisation process to completely purify, sterilise and neutralise all sorts of viruses, bacteria present in the air. It draws air from the environment and emits pure oxygen which is needed for human beings. The ions released in the device eradicates any kind of virus and can help prevent airborne diseases,” Sastry said.

The wall-mounted device will not only purifies the surrounding but can also be used to provide pure oxygen to Covid-19 patients through a nozzle and pipe provided with the device. The device is priced at Rs 30,000 and is available for purchase on Amazon.

PurePrana device is being made by Hyderabad-based company, Pure Products and Devices, and the company officials claim that it has been tested on 100-150 people who were suffering from Covid-19.
