Hyderabad: RMC truck plunges from ORR near Kokapet, driver injured

Panic prevailed on the Outer Ring Road near Kokapet after a ready-mix concrete truck rammed into the divider and plunged onto the service road below. No casualties were reported, but the driver suffered serious injuries. Police suspect overspeeding and possible drowsiness.

Hyderabad: A ready-mix concrete (RMC) truck caused panic on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near the Kokapet Neopolis area on Friday morning.

No casualties were reported.

The incident occurred after the concrete mixer rammed into the divider and lost control, plunging from the ORR onto the service road below.

Fortunately, no other vehicles or pedestrians were present at the spot at the time, averting a major tragedy. However, the truck driver suffered serious injuries and was immediately shifted to a nearby private hospital for treatment.

Police suspect that overspeeding and possible drowsiness of the driver led to the accident. An investigation is underway.
