Hyderabad: An awareness campaign on road safety was organised by the Hyderabad Traffic Police for the staff of Capital and Housing Finance in Ameerpet on Saturday.
Addressing the participants, North Zone ACP (Traffic), G Shankar Raju highlighted that violations like triple riding, over-speeding, signal jumping, using a cellphone while driving, and driving without a helmet, were major causes of road accidents.
Inspector N Ashok from TTI Begumpet stated driving under the influence of alcohol was extremely dangerous and a punishable offence.
Around 350 staff members participated in this program.
