Hyderabad: As part of Rotary International’s area of focus on disease prevention and environment, Rotary Club of Jubilee Hills (RCJH) conducted a march on Independence Day, kickstarting the “#StopIndiaSpitting” campaign in Hyderabad. This multi-year campaign aims to spread awareness of the dangers of spitting in public places, as a cause for spread of COVID, TB, and other infectious diseases, according to a press release.
The march was flagged off by Rotary District 3150 Governor Rtn K Prabhakar at from Rotary Park Tank Bund. A total of 150 people participated in the march. Rtn Prabhakar addressed the gathering, and encouraged all participants to take an oath to spread awareness to stop the habit of spitting at public places.
