Hyderabad: In a crackdown on food safety violations, the Hyderabad Task Force (H-FAST) team allegedly seized a large quantity of rotten chicken in Bharatnagar and arrested a supplier involved in its illegal distribution.

The accused, identified as Suraj Pal (66), was allegedly storing and supplying spoiled chicken to local hotels despite his license having expired.

Following a tip-off, officials raided the premises and recovered around 352 kilograms of decomposed chicken from him.

Police said Suraj was operating in violation of food safety norms, posing a serious health risk to consumers. The seized stock was disposed of, and he was taken into custody and later handed over to Sanathnagar police for further investigation.
