Hyderabad: The Mangalhat police arrested Manmohan Singh (45), a rowdy sheeter and alleged drug peddler on charges of selling marijuana and seized 2 kilos of the drug from him.
According to the police, Singh was involved in several cases including selling drugs and illicit liquor and a murder since 2002 and was detained under the Preventive Detention Act four times. He was again arrested in a drug peddling case recently and was released from prison only four days ago. Police said he had resumed his business and on Sunday, went to Suryapet district to purchase two kilos of marijuana for Rs.8,000 from an unknown source. He brought the stuff to Hyderabad on a bus late in the night.
Following a tip-off, he was caught while waiting for customers at Balramgalli in Mangalhat.
