Hyderabad: Satta betting gang busted, five arrested in Chilkalguda

Hyderabad: The Task Force (East) team along with the local police busted an interstate organised online ‘satta’ betting gang and arrested five persons in Chilkalguda on Wednesday.
Officials have seized cash of Rs 1 lakh and gadgets worth Rs 4 lakh.
The arrested gang members are P Sadashivudu, M Yadagiri, Y Karthik, Faizan Khan and T Punnam Chander Goud, all natives of Warangal. The prime suspect and kingpin Rajender is absconding.
According to the police, Rajender has been clandestinely organising online satta betting from a rented house in Chilkalguda for the past three years. He hired his nephew Sadashivudu and others to help him, offering them good salary.
“They accepted betting over digital platforms and paid the punters through digital wallets. Rajender, in turn placed betting with other satta organisers in Maharashtra and other places,” police said.
Based on a tip-off, the gang was arrested and the material was seized.
