Hyderabad: Hyderabad XI defeated Andhra XI 3-0 in the inaugural Waheeb memorial all India invitation football tournament at Nizamabad on Wednesday. Solomalai struck two goals while Madhan scored the other one for the winners.

In the second match, AGORC Chennai humbled Madhya Pradesh 6-0 with goals from Kali, Lijo, Sagi, Lijo and Regan. Kerala edged past Pune 3-2. Tony Antony and Sharan Antony found the net for Kerala while Pune saw an own goal. Karthik and Jagath reduced the margin for Pune.
