Hyderabad: Security guard dies in early morning fire at Mailardevpally residence
A 21-year-old security guard from Bihar died after a fire broke out at his residence in Mailardevpally, Hyderabad, during the early hours of Thursday. Fire officials suspect a short circuit caused the blaze, which trapped the victim inside the smoke-filled house.

Hyderabad: A security guard died when fire broke out at a residential building at Mailardevpally in the south of the city on Thursday, early hours.
The man Vikas (21), a native of Bihar, worked as a security guard in the city. According to the police, Vikas was asleep in his house at Brindavan colony, Mailardevpally, when fire broke out. Before the man could come out, the thick smoke engulfed the house, and Vikas got trapped inside and died.
The body of Vikas was later brought out by the firefighters who had reached the spot and brought the fire under control. The police shifted the body for post-mortem to Osmania General Hospital. A case is registered at Mailardevpally police station.
The fire officials suspect the fire might have been caused by a short circuit.
