Hyderabad: Seminar on sports medicine, psychology on February 20
The Maturi Sports Foundation will organise a seminar on sports medicine and sports psychology at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on February 20, bringing together experts from academia and elite sport to discuss performance, mental health and competitive preparedness.

Hyderabad: A seminar on ‘Role of Sports Medicine and Sports Psychology in competitive sports’ will be organised by Maturi Sports Foundation at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium (Uppal) on February 20 from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm.
Mr Amarnath, President of the Hyderabad Cricket Association, will be the chief guest.
The eminent speakers lined up for the seminar include Dr.Krishna Ranga Rao: He did PhD in tourism from Osmania University, a retired professor from Indian Institute of Tourism and Management (Gwalior). He was also a national boxer and captained Osmania University besides being a Doordarshan commentator for the 2002 National Games.
Ms.Tanya Maturi: A graduate in neuroscience and psychology from the Australian Universities. Presently, she is London-based working for Gene Technology in the UK.
Dr. Rajesh Kumar: He did his doctorate from Osmania University, is currently a senior Professor of College Physical Education, OU. He also participated in the World Masters Athletics championship.
Dr.Y. Emmanuel S Kumar: He is a product of MPELNCPE, Gwalior, and served as Physical Director of HPS (Begumpet). He was also a former national champion in handball and javelin. Participated in more than 20 international sports conferences.
