Hyderabad: The Malkajgiri police arrested seven youths for allegedly smoking a banned hookah at LB Nagar on Monday night.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided the premises of White Cup Café and seized over six hookah bottles along with related smoking equipment.
Officials said a case has been registered against the owner under relevant sections of law.
Locals alleged that even minors indulged in drug use and hookah smoking. They have urged authorities to intensify inspections to curb these illegal activities.
