Hyderabad: Sikhs to observe 349th martyrdom of ninth Sikh Guru on December 8

Hyderabad: The Sikhs in the city will observe the 349th Martyrdom of Ninth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahebji on December 8.
Prabhandak Committee President, S Pratap Singh, Secretary, S Ranjit Singh and Sewadar, S Jaswinder Singh said the Vishaal Kirtan Darbar will be held at Municipal Grounds, Chilkalguda on December 8 from 11 am to 3.30 pm.
Bhai Binder Singhji Taantisaaz wale of Takhat Sri Damdama Sahib, Bhatinda, Giani Nishan Singhji Gandiwind, Head Granthi, Baba Buddha Saheb and other Ragi Jathas will render shabad keertans and kathas. Guru Ka Langar will be served to all the devotees.
In the evening, a colourful Nagar Keertan will be taken out from Gurudwara Saheb Sitafalmandi at around 4.30 pm and will pass through the main corridors of Guru Teg Bahadur Bhavan, Deep Lifestyle, Pee Pee Traders and return back to Gurudwara Saheb.
Nishan Sahebans from all Gurudwaras of twin cities, Panj Pyaras, display of sword fighting skills and other breathtaking skills will be displayed all along the procession. Guru Granth Saheb ji will be carried on a decorated vehicle and Keerthani jathas will render shabad keertans all along the procession, a press release said.
