Cyberabad police arrested six people for fatally attacking a man outside his KPHB residence. The group, reportedly angry over a prior dispute and under the influence of alcohol, damaged property before the attack. ACP E Ravikiran Reddy confirmed the arrests
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police on Monday arrested six persons who had allegedly murdered a man at KPHB last week.
The arrested are Boya Raju alias Bangi (37), Boya Naresh (32), Boya Sandu Anil Kumar (32), Bangi Eranna (40), Boya Aluru Urukundappa (34) and Boya Bangi Ramanjaneyulu.
According to the police, a few weeks ago, Boya Raju, who is a native of Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh, met one person, Hanumanthu and asked him to help in collecting garbage from a building. However, Raju told Hanumanthu that he did not have any contacts there and could not help him. A few days later, Raju abused Hanumanthu, keeping in mind that the latter did not help him.
“On Friday night, Boya Raju, along with the other five suspects, consumed alcohol and planned to kill Hanumanthu. They reached the house of Hanumanthu and damaged the windscreen of an auto rickshaw parked outside the house. Hearing the sound, Boya Nettikallu, a relative of Hanumanthu, came and argued with them. In a fit of rage, the six persons attacked Nettikallu with sticks, leading to his death,” said E Ravikiran Reddy, ACP Kukatpally.
