Hyderabad: Six cars gutted after fire breaks out in Filmnagar

Six cars were gutted after a fire broke out in the cellar of a residential building at HUDA Enclave in Journalist Colony, Filmnagar, Hyderabad. Firefighters evacuated 15 residents safely and brought the blaze under control. No casualties were reported

Hyderabad: Six cars were gutted after a fire broke out in the cellar of a residential building at HUDA Enclave in Journalist Colony, Filmnagar, Hyderabad, on Saturday night. No casualties were reported in the incident.

The fire department received information about the incident and fire tenders from Panjagutta, Jubilee Hills and Annapurna Studio were immediately rushed to the spot.

On reaching the building, firefighters found 15 persons inside. The fire personnel safely evacuated all the occupants before launching firefighting operations.

The blaze, which had engulfed the vehicles parked  in the cellar, was brought under control after a coordinated firefighting effort. All six cars were reportedly gutted in the fire.

The prompt response of the fire personnel helpedprevent loss of life and ensured the safe evacuation of the residents, said the fire officials.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
