Hyderabad: Royal United FC recorded an emphatic 10-1 win over Shastri FC in the TFA B-Division Shivkumar Lal Football League Championship at the Gymkhana Ground here on Tuesday.

Salam Bin Jafar struck four goals, while Subham Tanty and Nikhil scored a brace each. Gopi Reddy and Syed Sadie Ali added one goal apiece for the winners.


For the losing side, Pranav reduced the margin.

 

 

Narrow win for Loyola Academy

Loyola Academy staged a remarkable comeback to edge out Young Men Guild 71-70 after trailing 28-35 at half-time in the Level I stage of the Annual League Basketball Championship for the GM Sampath Kumar Trophy at YMCA Secunderabad on Tuesday.

The scores:
Men: Loyola Academy 71 (Vivek 26, Ashish 9, Suraj 8) bt Young Men Guild 70 (Srujan 26, Aakash 18, Sriram 16).
Women: Nizam Basketball Academy 36 (Jahnavi 11, Khushboo 8, Vennela 6) bt St Francis College 28 (Pari 8, Saniya 8, Srishti 8).

 

 

Hyderabad goes down to Uttar Pradesh

Sameer Rizvi’s unbeaten century (107 n.o., 106b, 10×4, 4×6) powered Uttar Pradesh to a three-wicket victory over Hyderabad in the first round of the BCCI Inter-State Under-23 One-Day Cricket Championship at Jaipur on Tuesday.

The scores:
At Jaipur: Hyderabad 233 in 49.2 overs (Aman Rao 50, Sarthak Bharadwaj 40, Abdul Rahman 4/60) lost to Uttar Pradesh 234/7 in 47.1 overs (Rituraj Sharma 46, Sameer Rizvi 107 n.o., Dinesh Rathod 4/40).
