Hyderabad: State government constitutes six member committee to probe into Gulzar Houz fire tragedy

The committee has to submit its report after the probe to the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The committee should also suggest measures to be adopted to prevent such incidents in future.

Hyderabad: The State government constituted a six member committee to probe into the Gulzar Houz fire tragedy where 17 members of a family lost their lives.

The committee will comprise GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan, Hyderabad collector – Anudeep Durishetty, Hyderabad Commissioner of Police, – C V Anand, DG Fire Services – Y Nagi Reddy, Hydra Commissioner – A V Ranganath and TSSPDCL CMD – Md Musharraf Faruqui.


The committee has to submit its report after the probe to the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The committee should also suggest measures to be adopted to prevent such incidents in future.

The committee is expected to visit the spot on Wednesday and inspect the premises.
