Hyderabad student dies after losing balance and falling from apartment terrace

A 19-year-old degree student, Pranamya, died after accidentally falling from the fifth floor of her apartment building in Miyapur, Hyderabad. She suffered severe head injuries and later succumbed while undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

Hyderabad: A 19-year-old college student died after accidentally falling from the fifth floor of an apartment building in Miyapur on Monday evening.
According to police, the victim, identified as Pranamya, daughter of Pratap Reddy and Prashanthi of Mayuri Nagar, was pursuing degree at a local private college. After returning home from college, she reportedly went to the fifth floor of her apartment while talking on the phone.
Police said she is believed to have leaning against the parapet wall and accidentally lost her balance, falling from the building. She suffered severe head injuries in the incident.
Family members rushed her to a nearby private hospital, where she died under treatment later.
Based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s mother, Miyapur police registered a case and took up investigation.
