Hyderabad student drowns at Patala Ganga in Srisailam

Sai Teja reached the steps, but accidentally slipped and fell into the river and drowned

Hyderabad: A student from Hyderabad drowned at Patala Ganga in Srisailam on Thursday. He was identified as Ch Sai Teja, a native of Jammikunta in Karimnagar.

Along with four others from Hyderabad, Sai Teja had gone to Srisailam. The students wanted to take a bath at Patala Ganga and accordingly Sai Teja reached the steps, but accidentally slipped and fell into the river and drowned, according to reports.

Sai Teja was pursuing diploma in Polytechnic at Quli Qutb Shah College in Hyderabad and was residing in a boys’ hostel in Uppuguda.
The police have registered a case and an investigation was under way.
