Hyderabad: Demanding introduction of semester-wise supplementary exams in diploma programmes and resolution to ongoing attendance issue, BRSV coordinator Mir Qurram Ali, along with some diploma students, staged a protest at the State Board of Technical Education and Training here on Saturday.
Speaking at the protest, Ali condemned the rigid attendance policies that barred several students from taking exams. “The future of over 1 lakh students is at risk due to these unfair policies,” he claimed.
The students, frustrated by the absence of an education minister and the government’s lack of response, criticized the State leadership for neglecting their concerns. The protesters were detained by police.
