Hyderabad Task Force seizes 22.22 kg ganja, arrests three in Shaheen Nagar
Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force arrested three persons, including a Balapur rowdy sheeter, for allegedly transporting 22.22 kg of dry ganja in Shaheennagar. Police said the accused procured the contraband from Odisha, while two alleged suppliers remain absconding.

Hyderabad: A rowdy sheeter of Balapur police station, along with two others, was caught by the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force for allegedly transporting dry ganja in Shaheen Nagar. The police seized 22.22 kg of dry ganja, four mobile phones, two trolley bags and a backpack from them.
The suspects are identified as Mirza Jaffer Baig alias Saddam (35), an auto driver, against whom a rowdy sheeter is maintained at Balapur police station; Awad Bin Ali Yafai alias Awad (22), a wall painter from Kothapet, Barkas; and Sardar Manpreet Singh Dhillon alias Dhillon (22), a welder from Kishanbagh.
The police said the trio procured ganja from Berhampur in Odisha with the help of one Ibrahim Baamar of Kothapet, Balapur. They allegedly purchased the contraband from a supplier identified as Janni alias Sunny at Rs 5,000 per kg and transported it to Hyderabad for sale.
The main peddler Ibrahim Baamar and supplier Janni alias Sunny are absconding. Efforts are on to nab them.
The police said that Mirza Jaffer Baig had a criminal history with involvement in 22 cases, including murder and attempt-to-murder cases. Awad was involved in 10 theft cases, while Manpreet Singh Dhillon was involved in two attempt-to-murder cases.
