Hyderabad: Technology Exploration and Product Engineering Lab launched at GITAM

Launching the lab, T-Works CEO Joginder Tanikella stressed the need to equip the youth with latest technologies coupled with real time world problems.

Hyderabad: A state-of-the-art Technology Exploration and Product Engineering Laboratory has been launched at GITAM Deemed to be University, here on Tuesday.

Through TEP Laboratory, the first year students of technology are exposed to various machines, power tools and mechanisms, control units, basic electronics and microcontrollers, sensors, motors, pumps etc. The lab houses cutting-edge equipment such as a Wood Routing CNC Machine, Desktop Lathe cum Milling cum Drilling Machine, Wood Turning Lathe, MIG Welding Machine, EDM Wire Cut Machine, and Laser Cutting Machine to name a few.

Launching the lab, T-Works CEO Joginder Tanikella stressed the need to equip the youth with latest technologies coupled with real time world problems. He emphasized the importance of preparing technology students who are industry ready, with industry oriented curriculum coupled with considerable hands-on experience and internships.

School of Technology director Prof. Rama Sastry Vedala said the facility has been designed to provide students with hands-on learning experience and enhance students project-based learning to showcase their innovative and creative skills.
