Hyderabad: Teen girl dies by suicide in Rajendranagar after failing JEE Mains

A 17-year-old girl from Rajendranagar reportedly died by suicide after failing to qualify in the JEE Mains exam. Authorities said she jumped into Himayatsagar Lake on March 5, and her body was recovered on Saturday evening.

Hyderabad: A teenager who reportedly failed to qualify in JEE Mains exam died by suicide at Rajendranagar.

The victim girl aged 17 years, stayed with her parents at Rajendranagar. In February, the results of the JEE Mains exams were announced and the girl failed to qualify for the exams.


“After the results were announced, the girl slipped into depression. On March 5, she went to Himayatsagar and jumped into the lake. The body was retrieved on Saturday evening,” said an official of Rajendranagar police station.

A case is registered.
