Hyderabad: A 14-year-old boy died in a road accident at Mailardevpally on Thursday.

Venkata Manadeep, a Class Eight student and resident of Mailardevpally, was getting ready to go to school when his mother asked him to get a packet of milk from a nearby shop.

“Manadeep, without the knowledge of his parents, took their scooter parked outside their home and went on the main road. He hit a road divider and crashed into an electric pole resulting in head injuries and died on the spot,” the Mailardevpally police said.

The police shifted the body to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for autopsy. A case was booked.
