A fresh bout of rumours of breach in Gurram Cheruvu, Palle Cheruvu and Osmanagar tank in Shaheenagar made rounds on Tuesday creating panic among already tensed residents.

At Omer colony in Hafeez Babanagar, the situation was no different. Many families were seen shifting their belongings in auto rickshaws and moving out to safer places. “Will be back after things turn normal,” said Istiyaq, a resident of Omer Colony said.
Many families living in asbestos roofed houses started moving out fearing inundation and house collapse. “The houses were nearly submerged. With small children I cannot take risks. So I preferred moving out,” said Saleem Ansari, a resident of Hafeez Babanagar C Block.
