Hyderabad: Tenth grade student dies after being hit by truck on his way back home from tuition

Police said Tejas fell off the bike and came under the front wheel of the truck. He suffered grievous bleeding injuries and died on the spot

Hyderabad: A tenth grade student who was returning from tuition on a bike died when a rashly driven truck hit his vehicle at Kachvani Singaram in Medipally on city outskirts on Tuesday.

The victim was identified as Tejas Chowdhary (14), a resident of Divya Layout in Kachvani Singaram, who as usual had gone to the tuition on his bike to Parvathapur in the neighbourhood. While returning, a truck collided with his bike at a diversion.

Police said Tejas fell off the bike and came under the front wheel of the truck. He suffered grievous bleeding injuries and died on the spot.

The truck driver abandoned the vehicle and fled from the spot. The Medipally police booked a case and are investigating.
