Hyderabad: Thermo Fisher Scientific, a scientific research solutions company, launched a first-of-its-kind Supply Chain Centre integrated within a bio-incubation ecosystem at ASPIRE-BioNEST, University of Hyderabad (UoH).

The initiative is aimed at supporting Centres of Excellence (CoEs) across India and ASPIRE-BioNEST is one of the four centres selected for the collaboration. The establishment of the Supply Center within this CoE further enhances its ability to accelerate R&D, streamline workflows, and support innovation.

The facility was launched by Prof. Rajagopal, Director, ASPIRE-BioNEST, Jacqueline Ng, Director of Asia Pacific and Japan, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Jayabharat Reddy, Director – Commercial, LPD & BID, South Asia and Dr. Anil Kondreddy, CEO ASPIRE-BioNEST among others.

The Supply Centre offers direct access to critical laboratory reagents, consumables, and research essentials—delivered as quickly as the same day or by the next working day. It brings immense benefit to the incubating startups, faculty at the UoH, and researchers from nearby institutions like TIFR, NIAB, IIL, etc.

The collaboration between Thermo Fisher Scientific and ASPIRE-BioNEST showcases how global industry leaders and Indian innovation hubs can work together to create meaningful infrastructure that directly accelerates the pace of discovery, the UoH said.
