Hyderabad: A thief broke into a temple at Ramanujapuram in Shamshabad and decamped with silver ornaments and other valuables in the early hours of Tuesday.
According to the police, the thief broke into the premises by breaking open the lock of the sanctum sanctorum door and decamped with valuables.
The temple authorities noticed the valuables missing in the morning and alerted the Shamshabad police. A case was booked and investigation is on.
The police are examining footage from surveillance cameras on the temple premises to identify the thief and nab him. The total worth of the stolen valuables is yet to be ascertained.
